Our family business was founded by Alfred Vesely Sr. in 1946. In 1991, the current owner, Commercial Councillor Alfred Vesely, started over the business.

In addition to being a leading supplier of sawn timber, our own shipping company, AV-Line GmbH, has operated regular cargo routes between Koper, Slovenia, and destinations in Algeria and Morocco since 2015.

We offer spruce, fir, ash, pine, and beech. Each type has its unique characteristics suitable for various applications such as construction, furniture, and flooring.

We comply with the Austrian Timber Trading Usages 2006 as part of our quality assurance processes. Our timber undergoes chemical treatment to prevent fungal growth. We are certified according to FSC standards for beechwood and are in process to hold PEFC certification, ensuring responsible and sustainable sourcing.

We source our softwood primarily from Austria, one of Europe’s leading timber-producing and exporting countries. Our hardwood is sourced from Croatia, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Our storage facility is located in Koper, Slovenia.

Chemical treatment is performed year-round, from April to November in Austria and during the remaining months at the port of Koper.

Our timber is shipped either by break-bulk or into 40’ high-cube containers at the port of Koper, Slovenia.
